Authorisation for cultivation of genetically modified crops (temporary provision)

We process your personal data for the following purposes:

• If you wish to cultivate or handle seed for growing genetically modified crops in Denmark, you must have an authorization or similar official recognition issued by the Danish Agricultural Agency.

• Application for such an authorization or similar official recognition is made by sending a letter or an e-mail to the Danish Agricultural Agency. The Danish Agricultural Agency will then decide if your application can be approved. As part of this, we process your personal data.

The basis in law for our processing of your personal data ensues from:

• Law No. 28 of 4. January 2017 on the Growing etc. of Genetically Modified Crops.

• Administrative Order No. 1559 of 11. December 2015 on the Growing etc. of Genetically Modified Crops.

We process the following categories of personal data about you:

• The application must be accompanied with certified photocopies of your professional qualification documents (evidence of formal qualifications for handling genetically modified crops, an attestation of competence and/or professional experience, authorisation etc.).

We disclose your personal data or make it available to the following recipients:

• Generally, we do not disclose your personal data. However, we may verify the authenticity of the above mentioned professional qualification documents by contacting the institutions responsible for issuing them. In this process, we may also share the data with public authorities or advisors.

We will not transfer personal data to recipients outside the EU and the EEA except in cases (as described above) where we may verify qualification documents issued by institutions situated outside of the European Union.

We receive your personal data from your application.

We store your personal data as long as it is necessary for the evaluation of your application. In general, we store and make your personal data accessible according to the principles of the Public Access to Information Act. If your application is approved, we issue an authorization and keep record of this for as long as the authorization is valid.

Du har visse tilfælde ret til at få behandlingen af dine personoplysninger begrænset. Hvis du har ret til at få begrænset behandlingen, må vi fremover kun behandle oplysningerne – bortset fra opbevaring – med dit samtykke, eller med henblik på at retskrav kan fastlægges, gøres gældende eller forsvares, eller for at beskytte en person eller vigtige samfundsinteresser.

Ret til indsigelse

Du har i visse tilfælde ret til at gøre indsigelse mod vores lovlige behandling af dine personoplysninger.

Ret til at transmittere oplysninger (dataportabilitet)

Du har i visse tilfælde ret til at modtage dine personoplysninger i et struktureret, almindeligt anvendt og maskinlæsbart format samt at få overført disse personoplysninger fra én dataansvarlig til en anden uden hindring.
